Apple introduced the 11-inch MacBook Air (Early 2015) family of MacBooks on March 9, 2015 as a performance update to the 11-inch MacBook Air (Early 2014) featuring fifth generation Intel Core processors up to 2.2 GHz, with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.2 GHz; integrated Intel HD Graphics 6000; and Thunderbolt 2 (delivering up to 20Gbps, twice the bandwidth of the previous generation). Unlike the more expensive MacBook Pros, the MacBook Air family does not feature Retina displays. Instead, this model shipped with a 11.6-inch (diagonal) LED-backlit glossy widescreen display with support for millions of colors. 128GB PCIe-based flash storage is standard, configurable up to 256GB, and 4GB of 1600MHz LPDDR3 onboard memory is configurable to 8GB. Includes Two USB 3 ports (up to 5 Gbps), Thunderbolt 2 port (up to 20 Gbps), and a MagSafe 2 power port. The 13-inch MacBook Air (Early 2015) ships with Apple's OS X Yosemite operating system pre-installed. As of late 2015, Apple stopped advertising the 11-inch MacBook Air for sale on its website. Several configurations remains available from the company's authorized resellers, as well as grey market resellers.
