Introduced in October 2012, Apple's iPad mini featured a new design that was 23 percent thinner and 53 percent lighter than the third generation iPad. Equipped with a 7.9-inch Multi-Touch display, the iPad mini also packs a dual-core A5 chip that delivers responsive graphics without sacrificing battery life. In fact, the iPad mini offers users up to 10 hours of battery life and weighs only 0.68 pounds. It also features a front-facing FaceTime HD camera, as well as a 5MP iSight camera in the back, which is capable of recording full 1080p HD video. The iPad mini offers dual-band 802.11n Wi-Fi support for speeds up to 150Mbps, which is twice the Wi-Fi performance of previous iPad models. Shoppers can also choose a Wi-Fi + Cellular option with LTE and DC-HSDPA support. Plus, the iPad mini has a Lightning connector, which is smaller than the older 30-pin connector.
